There is a limited selection of accommodation on the Island. These options are selected for the convenience to the starting point of tours, as well as the tourist friendly. I will provide information about the selling points of each place!
yuge no Yado
A beautiful 100 year old house. Renovated by a couple who moved to Kamijima in 2017 to have a “second life”. This is a traditional style accommodation called Minshuku, almost equivalent to a homestay. The owners are lovely and stay next door, so you will also have hot tea or coffee, or drinks in the evening together with them. Sleeping arrangement is futons on the floor, but many customers say it is the most comfortable futon they have slept on!
Located very central and convenient, a short walk from bicycle rentals and restaurants, the main selling point of Yuge no Yado is the Traditional home-cooked Japanese breakfast.

Shiomi House
The first accommodation in Kamijima to display on Airbnb. A beautiful house on the island of Sashima, 15 minutes slow cycle from the main island of Yuge. The people speak great English and are extremely kind and friendly. A very rare feature of this place is the Goemonburo, a cauldron bath. Very traditional cast iron bath heated by a wood fire externally.
This place I definitely recommend if you would like to slow down, especially if you are staying in Kamijima for 2 or 3 nights, Sashima Island is a very quiet and slow. If you are looking to do a one day tour with us, the location is a bit further than the other options.

Tokonoma Guesthouse
A new place operating since 2019. Renovated by the hands of the owner himself. The owner moved here from outside and became a local fisherman so you will not see him often. This place is great if you prefer to have a space to yourself and be left to your own devices. Tokonoma also has 3 rooms which can be made private, so it is great for families or groups.
The location is very central and convenient to shops and restaurants. No food options available here, but there is a basic kitchen which you can use.
